Ever had one of those days? Well, I've had one of those for 2 dang weeks. Lordy, I need a vacation, oh wait, I just had one of those, and that's what started all this shit!
I'm so thankful that this is a holiday week. We are closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday ( we are always closed on Sunday), and I'm thinking about heading out of town with a great family we are friends with. If I choose to stay home, it will be a long weekend filled with getting our pool up and running, I got a pump yesterday from another awesome friend! And, repainting my daughters room, while at baseball a few weeks ago, my latest regret and she picked out a bright ass color of turquoise for her room, and halfway finished it...yeah, thanks...So I need to prime it, and repaint it a nice normal neutral color!!
So, what to do, what to do, paint and work my muscles and stretch in places I didn't know I had, then chill in the pool...or say to hell with it, and go with friends to the beach on the west coast of Fl?? Decisions, decisions...

Can I get a break?
You know the saying, if it's not one thing it's another...no truer words have been spoken.
A couple weeks ago while I was out of town my middle one ended up in the ER with a fishing lure thru his thumb...yes he was trying to get it down from a tree. I thought I raised him smarter than that, you don't jump up and grab sharp things (he's blonde, he can't help it). Thanks mom and dad for handling that, and my awesome friends for keeping him and his sis the rest of the time I was gone.
Well....yesterday while I was trying to rest and relax, the oldest called, "Mom, I think I broke my ankle, I will be home in a few, can you take me to the Er?" WTF, really...not where I want to be on a Tuesday night, not any night, the ER's around here completely suck...busy, busy, busy.
So off we went, him hopping along, me grumbling, and the two younger ones along for the ride. I think they just wanted to see what I was going to say to him...they love it when someone other than them is catching it!
Well, we were in and out, my apologies for my above ER reference. Xrays revealed a bad sprain, and an unknown BB in the right leg...whaddya know, that's what that little bump is?!? So he's on crutches and supposed to be resting it. We will see how long that lasts.
They say these type of things come in 3's...that leaves the youngest, Lord help me!

Are you fracking kidding me?!
Man, I just love social media and teens...NOT! I have facebook, yes I will admit that I do enjoy keeping up with friends from my past, and some of the new ones. I was sucked into the FB craze because I had kids who have it. I became their self appointed FB police. I was diligent with checking their pages, their messages, and even their cell phones. That was/is the rule in my home, I will have access to your info, pages, texts etc. Yes I know that teens are slick and they know where the delete button is.
Well sometimes life gets in the way, we get busy, we get lazy, we trust them to not make poor decisions. With that being said, I decided to get nosey today, and boy what a f'n eye opener it was. I learned that my middle kid was planning a party, and decided to post my address all over his page and in messages. I guess he wanted a bonfire, which has been done in the past. But those have been put on hold due to taking advantage of moms funness (is that a word?). Also, I learned he was messaging random girlies and trying to get them to talk to him by pulling on their so called heart strings ( snarky teen girls don't have these) but alas he tried a sob story...poor kid his mom was killed in a car accident, t-boned by a drunk driver...REALLY, are you fricking kidding me? I am alive and well...actually made a nice lil embarrassing post on his page masquerading as him, calling him out!!

And to top it off he claims he has to live with his grandparents, because his dad is in the Army protecting our country...SERIOUSLY??? He doesn't even know that sorry ass that gave up rights to him and his sister when he was almost 3 and she was 1. He doesn't even know what work is, much less working for the government, that may actually require and expenditure of energy. Not his thing!
Sooooo, cant wait to leave work today and go handle this...fun fun fun!!

Normal as I know it
This weekend life has returned to our normal, controlled chaos! I love it! I guess you could say I'm the type who needs excitement and adventure. The busier, crazier, the better!!
Had a baseball tourney all weekend beginning on Friday continuing thru today which is Sunday! Back n forth to the Orlando area. We've won all 3 games so far. Go Eagles wood bat team!!
I spent Saturday afternoon in the mud at Holopaw one of my fav places doing what I love most. Riding Atvs!!! God I needed that!
And we got a horse, older barrel horse for Brooke to learn on, hope I can afford this shit! I swear I need a winning lotto ticket or a suga daddy!!

Vacay
On another note, the kids survived and only one trip to the ER while I was gone. Thank god or good mojo that I have the best of friends who really stepped up when my plan fell thru! You really find out who your friends are!!
Now off to do laundry, get ready for the work week after being gone...it should be fun, and to tan! I love my tanning bed!!

Marco......Polo !!
That is how I feel, catch me if you can. Man, have I / we been busy?!?!?!?!
Let's recap...( I like to use ...'s). I had surgery again at the end of Feb, it was a doozie, and hopefully had my final procedure done last week. Hoping, praying, dancing around in my birkenstocks and playing my tambourine ( well, if I owned either of those), that it was my final one. I am feeling great, probably better than I have since I was a teenager, and that was a loooong time ago...don't ask how long! Had a lifestyle change along the way, Gluten Free, and it is much easier than I thought...but better than dealing with Chrons flareups, so whatever works I shall do.
Enough about that crap, my kids are almost out of school for the summer, something like 12 more school days, yikes...then I will have an 8th and 9th grader. Time is flying, pretty soon they will be leaving the nest..somedays I wish time would stop...and then on other days...well ya know.
We have some summer travel plans, hoping to go to Graceland, my mom wants to go...so that means Road Trip! My daughters 13th birthday is fast approaching, so may hit NC, we like Sliding Rock, and Cherokee, plus our cabin is up there! My son will be playing baseball, he made a 16u travel team out of Central Fl. That means we will be keeping the roads hot heading to practice and tournaments..this momma loves baseball! Then we actually hope to get some camping in, not tent camping..heck no, we bought a new to us camper again! This momma loves the woods too!
Trying to get the pool up and situated at home, it's a royal pain when you have to haul in water..any idea how many trips you have to take for 6500 gallons, a lot even with a 325 gallon tank and 1000 gallon tank..that's a lot of liquid gold going into my neck of the woods....yeah, we have well water!

Spring break
This past week was Spring break for my kids. And what a week it was. I was granted my divorce Tuesday, that is a good thing. Took the kids to Sea World on Thursday, it was nice and cool, and not very crowded. Then we wrapped it up with a cookout and bonfire. One of the best weeks I've had in a long long time. I'm feeling better, healthier, and more energetic. Maybe I've got a handle on this!
